Jasper Hill Farm Virtual Cheese Tasting & Class
Join Saxelby Cheesemongers and Jasper Hill Farm for a virtual cheese tasting and class on Thursday 2/25 at 8pm EST featuring five of Jasper Hill's award-winning cheeses. Zoe Brickley of Jasper Hill will be joining us to give us a behind the scenes look at how they make and age their delicious array of cow and goat’s milk cheese!
How does it work?
1. Purchase a Tasting Box
2. We'll email you a Zoom link to the virtual class
3. Tune in to class at 8pm EST on 2/25
Deadline for orders is Sunday 2/21 at midnight EST. Boxes will ship 2/23 for delivery on 2/24.
Each Tasting Box features includes the following cheeses and contains enough cheese for 4-8 people to participate! Pairing suggestions are not included in the price of the box, but if you'd like to add on, we'll be sure to include those in your box!
Sherry Gray - The newest cheese in Jasper Hill's lineup. An ash-ripened double cream cheese that is bright and buttery with floral, nutty, and yeasty flavor notes.
Pairing suggestion: Blake Hill Strawberry Rhubarb Preserves
Winnimere - A seasonal raw milk marvel wrapped in spruce bark. Winnimere is woodsy, pungent and smoky, with flavor notes of mustard, smoked meat, and juniper.
Pairing suggestion: Potter's Classic White Crackers
Calderwood - Saxelby Cheesemonger's exclusive cheese collaboration with Jasper Hill Farm! Firm, nutty, and complex cheese with hints of earth, caramel, chestnut honey, toasted bread and tropical fruit.
Pairing suggestion: Dardiman's Pineapple Crisps
Highlander - A semi-firm goat and cow's milk cheese that is washed with a cultured brine as it ages. The washing creates a subtle funk that ties together umami-rich flavors of creme fraiche, browned butter, and onions.
Pairing suggestion: Rust Belt Saucisson
Bayley Hazen Blue - One of Jasper Hill's original cheeses - this blue is fudgy, salty and chocolaty with a pleasant barnyard undertone. It'll make a blue cheese believer out of just about anybody!
Pairing suggestion: Ploughgate Creamery Cultured Butter. Trust us on this one...
