Dear friends and loyal customers,
It is with great sadness that we inform you that Anne Saxelby, Founder and Co Owner of Saxelby Cheesemongers, passed away on October 9, 2021. Anne was a driving force in the American Artisan Cheese movement and touched many of us with her kindness, knowledge and passion for well-crafted artisan cheeses. She was one in a million. It is a tragic loss for her family, her friends, the food community and our company.
We want to thank you for all your heartfelt messages of support, they are needed and greatly appreciated. Be assured that the Saxelby team is here to carry on her legacy and honor our mission: Our relationships with our cheesemakers are the driving force behind what we do; we aim to know and celebrate the how and why behind each cheese in every season, and share that knowledge with cheese lovers everywhere. We are dedicated to supporting sustainable, regenerative agriculture, bolstering rural economies, and ensuring the American artisan cheese community thrives for years to come.
