Since 1900, four generations of the Raye family have been making artisan stone-ground mustards in the United States’ easternmost city: Eastport, Maine. The Rayes use their vintage grindstone machinery (from the Second Industrial Revolution) to carry out a traditional cold grind process, which preserves the mustard seeds and spices’ most sharp, unique flavors.
