Moses Sleeper

Moses Sleeper was Greensboro Vermont's own local Revolutionary War hero, and is the inspiration for this decadent and buttery washed rind cheese. Greensboro is home to Jasper Hill Farm, one of the best artisan cheese companies in the US, and indeed the world! The undulating fluffy folds of bloomy rind—think something along the lines of brie or camembert—encase a creamy, pudding-like paste that tastes of cauliflower, truffles, and barnyard. Each wheel weighs in at 1lb, and is aged 4-6 weeks.

Cheese Care

On a scale of one to 10, this was a 100!

I brought this cheese to my workplace to share with my coworkers, and everybody loved it (including me). The rind is thin and has a relatively delicate flavor, so it does not overpower the cheese. The cheese is soft, buttery, and has hints of mushroom and cabbage. I am definitely going to order. Moses Sleeper again!

Every time I order products from this site, I get more and more excited I love the information sheets that they send with each package, including the name of the cheese where it came from and all sorts of fax and information about each cheese gives you a cheese care sheet on how to take care of your cheese And the products come packaged very well I love this company and their cheeses!!

This is a fine soft cheese

This a melt in the mouth cheese with a marvelous aftertaste. My only quibble, and it’s a small one, is I prefer a stronger flavor. This is not a criticism but just a warning for those of us who like our cheese strong rather than mild.
