The Federico family has long-standing ties to New England's food system. Owner Mark Federico Sr. grew up stocking the shelves of his family's New Haven grocery store in the 1950's. In 2007, Mark and his wife Patty, started Narragansett Creamery, a smaller specialty cheese business under the umbrella of their larger company, Providence Specialty Products. They make a wide variety of fresh and aged cheeses in a diverse range of styles - from European to Hispanic-style cheese. Narragansett Creamery sources the milk for its products from New England farmer-owned cooperatives.
